2015 Winter POY!

SSZ has six categories with the best highlights we captured during the winter sports season.  Thanks to everyone who voted!

We had over 230,000 votes for our Plays of the Year – thanks to everyone who voted.  Look at all the nominees below and thanks to the great athletes and student sections for their support during our first winter season of covering Jersey Shore sports!

HOCKEY GOAL OF THE YEAR

Since the Freehold Township goal by Julian Kislin and Max Halvorsen was the #1 Play on ESPN SportsCenter – we’re going to go ahead and give that Goal of the Year Honors and have a Goal of the Year not on ESPN category.  Julian and Max will be honored at our banquet and who you vote below will join them!

STUDENT SECTION OF THE YEAR

We’ve had a lot of great surprises in our first year of covering Jersey Shore sports, but the support of the student sections has been at the top of the list. Here’s our way of saying thanks –  the winning school gets 50 SSZ T-Shirts and 100 passes to iPlay After Dark!  Thanks again to all these great student sections:
