Watch Ranney and Neptune score Friday night hoops wins

Shore Sports Zone has highlights of a Ranney dunk-fest against Point Pleasant Beach and Neptune’s one point win at Marlboro that came down to the very end

Ahmadu Sarnor led three players in double digits with 16 points as Ranney completed a season sweep of the Garnet Gulls.  Ranney closed the first half with three consecutive dunks, two by Bryan Antoine and one more on Scottie Lewis courtesy of an ally-oop from Sarnor.  Ranney led 36-20 at the half and pulled its starters at the end of three.  The Panthers are now 11-2 on the season.  Watch the highlights from Friday night in Tinton Falls:

Neptune 48 Marlboro 47

Seth Harrington delivered a pair of clutch buckets in crunch time as the Scarlet Fliers held on for a big road win.  PJ Ringel had 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 steals for the Mustangs, who drop to 6-2 in “A” North play.  Jules Calhoun led the Scarlet Fliers with 15 points and Jared Kimbrough added 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Neptune put together a 12-0 run in the 3rd quarter to take a 33-29 lead.  Marlboro took the lead back in the 4th quarter until Harrington delivered a hoop and foul to tie the game at 42.  In the final minute, Kimbrough delivered a pass to Harrington to put Neptune in front 46-44.  The Scarlet Fliers missed the front end of a one and one giving Marlboro the ball with 12 seconds to go.  Dylan Kaufman drew a foul with 4.7 seconds left, but missed the second free throw to tie the game.  The loose ball was never recovered by the Mustangs as the final buzzer sounded.  Watch highlights from a great game on Friday afternoon:
