Pope John dominates CBA to win state crown

SSZ has highlights of some future college basketball stars who put their talent on display at Pine Belt Arena in Toms River

CBA ran into a buzzsaw in the Non-Public “A” state championship game.  Pope John used the three point shot to race out to a 19-3 lead after one quarter and then turned to a dazzling dunk display starting with 6-foot-8 junior Jeromy Rodriguez and 6-9 senior and Syracuse commit Moustapha Diagne.  The Colts trailed 33-12 at the half and were never in contention.  Pat Andree led CBA with 14 points in a losing effort.  The Colts were seeking their first state title since 1995 when current head coach Geoff Billet was the star guard of that team.  Watch the highlights here:
