Mabrey’s 33 leads Manasquan to tight road win

Our US Army Girls Basketball Game of the Week brings us a tremendous early season battle. Dara Mabrey had a career high 33 points as Manasquan held off a 4th quarter rally from RBC in a 66-62 victory. Watch extended highlights from an outstanding game from Red Bank on Tuesday night

Dara Mabrey showed a complete game with 33 points including dazzling drives and NBA range three pointers as Manasquan held off a fourth quarter rally from Red Bank Catholic.  Mabrey had 19 in the first half as the Warriors were in control with a 33-23 lead.  RBC trailed 50-41 in the 4th quarter before reeling off nine straight points.  Josie Larkins delivered a 3 pointer to tie the game at 50 and then one more triple put RBC in front 53-52.  The game went back and forth over the final four minutes.  RBC’s final lead came on a Rose Caverly layin to make it a 56-55 game, but the Lady Warriors took the lead for good with a Mabrey three point play.  Lola Mullaney had a huge three pointer in the fourth quarter and delivered a key steal in the final 90 seconds.  Larkins finished with 26 points for the Caseys with Tia Montagne adding 13 and Katie Rice scored 12.  Sophomore Faith Masonius had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Warriors and Mullaney chipped in with seven.  Watch the highlights and post-game reaction from Dara Mabrey in a fantastic Shore Conference game:
