Lions overcome injury to top Jags

A serious first period leg injury to Middletown North’s Mike Grazioso created a nearly one hour delay, but it didn’t stop the Lions from scoring an impressive 4-1 win over Jackson Memorial.  Watch all the highlights in our US Army Hockey Game of the Week

Middletown North 4 Jackson Memorial 1

Evan Hall scored two goals as the Lions scored a quality win at home over the Jaguars.  A first period leg injury to Middletown North’s Mike Grazioso halted the game for just under an hour as everyone at Middletown Ice World waited for an ambulance to arrive.  John Hallard delivered a power play goal shortly after play resumed and Evan Hall scored his first goal of the night to give the Lions a 2-0 lead at the end of one.  The Jags got a power play goal from Noah Sampson off a Trevor Cear blast to cut the lead in half.  Despite having nearly eight minutes of power play time in the third, Jackson Memorial couldn’t convert.  John Dinnocenzo scored a shorthanded goal and Hall buried one more puck to give the Lions a big win.  Anthony Manfredi had 40 saves in the victory.  Watch all the highlights and post-game reaction in our US Army Game of the Week:
