2015 Signing Day – Soccer Edition
SSZ has eight interviews with area soccer players who have signed national letters of intent to play college soccer
The first February in Wednesday is dominated by Signing Day, but almost all of the attention is on football. SSZ didn’t ignore the great soccer signings across Monmouth and Ocean County. Thanks to the athletic directors who let us know about their signing and gave us a chance to spotlight great accomplishments in both soccer and football.
The Howell Girls Soccer team had a tremendous season and saw two of its stars sign National letters of intent. Marissa Hamilton is heading to a Divison II soccer power. West Chester University has made 12 straight NCAA appearances and was 17-3-2 last season. Katelyn Brede is excited to play Division I soccer in Charleston South Carolina – Brede has signed to play in the Big South Conference with the Lady Bucs of Charleston Southern University:
At Manalapan High, three Division I soccer signees. Adam Weisberger is excited for city life – he signed a national letter of intent to play for the Manhattan Jaspers. Kim Fetto made headlines in her senior season with this game winning goal in the playoffs to stun Freehold Township. Fetto and teammate Nicole Doherty both signed Division I scholarships with Wagner:

The RBC girls soccer team produced two scholarships on National Signing Day.
Jenna Mucardo signs to play for the Golden Bears of Kutztown University in Pennsylvania and Christina Balacco will play Division I soccer with the Virginia Commonwealth Lady Rams:
At Rumson-Fair Haven, a girls soccer standout shared the spotlight with Bulldogs Football players on National Signing Day. Megan McGurl signed a national letter of intent to play Division I soccer in Pennsylvania with Lafayette. She talked with SSZ about her decision:
